Decoration Options explained
Embroidery utilises high speed stitching on textiles (clothing, bags, jackets, headwear) providing a stylish finish enhanced with natural lighting effects by the trilobal polyester thread. Exact Pantone matching is not possible as we are limited by thread colours available. We stock a wide range of thread colours and have an even larger selection if required. With our embroidery setup we can do rotational items (caps, hats, etc.) as well as flat items up to 460 x 300 mm in embroidery size and up to 15 colours. Embroidery requires the image to be digitised into a language the machine can understand to produce the stitches. This process generally incurs a setup charge for new designs.
Pad Printing is the main form of decoration utilised across our wide range of products. Pad printing is suitable for small areas and is used on flat or irregular shaped objects, such as pens, golf balls, mugs, stress shapes and much, much more. Pad printing utilises spot colours that is one colour per print in great detail. Pantone colour matching is possible depending on the object being printed on.
Screen Printing is often commonly associated with printing on textiles (clothing, etc.). Screen printing with the appropriate inks and machinery allows printing on both flat (rulers, compendiums, bags, etc.) and rotational objects (such as mugs, glasses, drink bottles) with a larger print area than pad printing and also with different styles of ink (such as those used for textile printing). Screen printing also utilises spot colours with one colour per screen. Pantone colour matching is possible depending on the object being printed on and the ink range used. As screens need to be made for each print run screen printing is generally more economical on 50 or more items.
Laser Engraving for permanent branding on natural materials (eg. wood), plastics, metals, stone and glass. As the image is etched the result is permanent and can't be scratched off (such as can be done with printing) and makes it ideal for key tags where keys and other high rubbing/scratching will occur. The finished colour of the engraving is dependent on the material being engraved. Generally a more expensive option than printing.
